Please remember our dear friend Hans Jansen and his wife Susan and son Gerhard in your prayers. Hans Passed away on the 12th September 2009 in the 1 Military Hospital after being there for 1 week after a horrific car accident on his way back from Flying radio controlled planes in Volksrust. Hans was the most gentle of gentleman. His love for everything was contagious and his passion for flying and his family was something to behold. He would be at the field first thing in the mornings to fly and be in the air as the rest of us were just arriving. Not only was Hans brilliant person but he was a very careful pilot and always assisting other pilots with their kit and laying out there wings. Jade my daughter will also dearly miss Hans. Hans would carry Jade around the airfield and look after her while I was training students and while Alison was in the air. He was the one Jade would always go to to be looked after. She will miss him dearly. A memorial flight was held on the 20th September 2009. The event was very well attended by most of the pilots from Flying Unlimited's School and their family's. The pilots who flew the Missing Man formation were. Paul Jackson, Tony Gibson, Riaan Struwig (on Hans's Trike) & George Patterson. We will all miss you our dear friend Fly now, Fly High and Enjoy it.
