Alison Solo’s on her nDiza Trike

A very exciting day took place at Grasslands on the 17th November 2007. Alison Gibson the wife of Tony Gibson did her first Solo Flight on her nDiza PPT. She flew a Synthesis 29 for this flight.

The wing has proved to be a good training wing for new pilots. Alison has done about 3 hours of dual training on the Xcitor including touch and go's. Alison did not feel comfortable flying the Xcitor solo, her reason is the Xcitor is too heavy on the breaks and her arms get tired too quickly. Later once she builds more confidence in her flying I am sure this will be rectified.

Alison first flight solo was good. Her take off was a little off, she lifted off in a pendulum and then settled down very nicely. The rest of the flight was good and her engine-out landing was done like a pro. Very smooth and soft. Alison was almost in tears when I got to her from the nerves and adrenaline. She can’t wait to do her next flight and we will see if this can happen later in the afternoon.

Well done Alison

Lots of love your Husband and now flying buddy.
